I made the mistake of activating Bixby once. An experience for about 3 weeks. It was like ants. Almost impossible to eliminate. I would delete it, and it would mysteriously reappear.

It is one very misunderstood assistant because Google Assistant had momentum when Bixby showed up. I mostly use Google Assistant, but as I bike a lot, I do find Bixby Routines handy. Hence, she reads out text messages and other notifications I get when riding and is handy for answering a call hands-free, too, as people seem only to call when you definitely need both hands on the bars. She also reads out the weather forecast when I first wake up so if it’s going to rain or it’s raining; I can go back to sleep and not ride. It also has a few other features that Google Assistant lacks or are easier with Bixby. So overall, I quite like it/her/him.
But I have remapped the Bixby button, so one press is Google Assistant, and two presses are Bixby.

Bixby gets a lot of “bandwagon hate”, but I think it’s better than Alexa and Google Assistant.. and way better than Siri. It learns from you every time you use it.. and Bixby is located on your phone and not over the cloud, unlike the other assistants. Bixby can be taught to do almost anything, and it has more control over your phone. There is a point system, too, and the data you input is used to improve Bixby, so it’s basically learning from everyone and is getting smarter and more advanced. The thing with Google is they only “do the basics” and leave it at that. Samsung always pushes the boundaries and goes further. I agree the “Bixby button” may be annoying, especially since you couldn’t customize that button (which was what they should’ve done).. but I actually like Bixby more than all the other AI assistants and believe it’s more useful and advanced. Google Assistant doesn’t work offline.. and Siri sucks and is only fun to play around and talk to since it has clever responses to questions but is not so functional or practical to use. Amazon is full of spyware, and I don’t really trust Amazon.
By the way, Bixby is developed by Samsung engineers in Silicon Valley.. where all the smart engineers are. I think Google and Amazon hired a company to make it and paid them a royalty fee.
