How is PVR Cinema scamming people?

I booked a ticket for TOPGUN (imax) last Friday (20th May) on VR, Bengaluru. 1 ticket cost me 750₹.

The booking was for the show on 25th Wednesday 7:10pm. After the card offer, I paid 720.

time,At that time, INOX didn’t list their shows for the 25th premiere.

Now, after INOX listed their shows for lesser PVR, which is almost 200₹ less than PVR,.

PVR has reduced the tickets from 750₹ to 550₹ at the same theatre where I bought tickets for 750₹.

The price difference is almost 270₹ considering the confirmation fee.

When I called their customer care to ask for a solution, they were like, “I will take this as feedback, sir” and hung up the call.

I’m extremely disappointed with this thing.

I have attached screenshots of the ticket price on Friday, 20th, 2022, and today (Wednesday, 25th, 2022).

This is a new scam done by PVR Cinemas India by opening the booking of some films before a month and looting from people.

better,Which is better, theater, INOX, or PVR?

NOTE: Everything I write below may differ vastly from region to region. These are my viewpoints and opinions about the branches of PVR and Inox in my city. And as the word opinion might indicate, opinions can also differ from person to person

PVR and Inox are both the top choices for moviegoers in India. But some prefer PVR more than Inox.

This is what I have observed whenever I go to PVR.

  • comfortable seats
  • state-of-the-art sound system
  • + Different screens for a variety of Aspect Ratios
  • + Good Food
  • + Crowd
  • well-maintained hygiene.
  • + Ambience
  • 3D glasses are adequately cleaned.
  • Movies that don’t have intervals (generally, Hollywood movies) are not stopped in the middle of a screening for a forced interval.
  • Expensive Ticket Prices
  • Food costs you a fortune
  • Interval times are very short.

And this is what I have observed whenever I go to Inox:

  • comfortable seats
  • Affordable Ticket Prices
  • good food at reasonable prices.
  • + Different Screens for a variety of Aspect Ratios
  • + Appropriate Interval Times
  • + More than average Sound System
  • well-maintained Hygiene
  • – Crowd. Always text or talk at loud volumes and pass silly comments. (A Huge downside for me.)
  • Horrendous-quality
  • 3D glasses.
  • 3D glasses are never cleaned.
  • Movies: Movies that don’t have intervals (generally, Hollywood movies) are stopped in the middle of a screening for a forced interval.
  • Trailers, which are attached to the movie reel, are often skipped.

Therefore, PVR is a better cinematic experience.

Which is better, theatre, INOX, or PVR?

Both PVR and Inox are good.but for me, PVR wins. Because of only two or three things, PVR wins for me. There are only two or three differences between these two by which PVR wins. now I am going to tell you some features of pvr and Inox

Pvr

1.seats-4stars.

2. Sound quality: 4.5 stars

3. screen: 4 stars.

4..picture Picture quality: 5 stars

Inox

1.seats-3 stars.

2..sound Sound quality: 4 stars.

3.screen-4 stars.

4. Picture quality: 5 stars.

So because of these differences, I like pvr more than Inox

Why is PVR popcorn so expensive compared to elite tickets?

PVR Chairman Ajay Bijli said there will be no change in the prices of food and beverages as India transitions from single screens to multiplexes.

In frame: Ajay Bijli is chairman of PVR Ltd. and the owner of the PVR Cinemas chain in India. Since 2013, Bijli has been a managing director for CineMAX India and a director for iPic Entertainment Inc.

People love to watch movies with their families in a cinema hall. But in recent years, it has become an expensive affair as the prices of movie tickets and snacks have skyrocketed, especially over the weekend. One of the most popular snacks enjoyed by almost every moviegoer is popcorn. fact,It is in fact synonymous with watching movies. But that too is slowly becoming out of the common man’s reach as the price is going up every few weeks. This has invited a lot of criticism.

PVR Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Bijli has spoken about the issue, admitting in a recent interaction with the Economic Times that consumers can’t be blamed for speaking against the high prices of snacks in movie theatres.

said thatMr Bijli, however, said that there will be no change in the prices of food and beverages (F&B) as India is still in a “transition phase from single screens to multiplexes”. He said in order to cover operational costs, the snacks at Multiplex will be sold at higher prices.

The PVR Chairman further told ET that the F&B business is now worth Rs 1,500 crore in the country.

Mr. Bijli said since multiplexes have more screens, the costs rise “4 to 6 times” because of the requirement of multiple projection rooms and sound systems. alsoHe added that air conditioning requirement has also increased as the foyers too are full of AC.

Earlier this year, country’s two major multiplex chains, PVR and Inox, announced their merger, promising it to be a game changer for the movie going audience, with the combined entity aiming to have 1,500 screens eventually

movie-watchingCoupled with aggressively priced tickets for consumers and an enhanced movie watching experience, they aim to recapture the market they had ceded to over-the-top (OTT) players in the last two years.

Mr. Bijli is the managing director of the combined entity (to be called PVR Inox Limited).

Which is better, theatre, INOX, or PVR?

It has to be PVR, undoubtedly.

Inox was launched in 2001. With no prior experience in the cinema exhibition industry. Baijal: The CEO, Shishir Baijal, had no experience in the cinema industry. He picked up some people from the PVR team and made a whole mess.

A joint venture launched in June 1997, PVR was a joint venture between Priya Cinemas of Delhi and Australian cinema giant Village Roadshow. Priya was a leader in changing the Indian cinema exhibition. From Dolby (in 1991) to the concept of cinema promotion and sponsorships. The works.

Product or serviceUsually, any product or service launched later has the advantage of improving upon the shortcomings of one found earlier. But somehow, Inox, even after so many years, is way behind PVR. Movie-watching. The movie-watching experience, the way they run their properties, the way they hire—everything is substandard. The answer is that it is reflected in their balance sheet, too. Sadly, they are still chasing the figure that PVR did last year.

All this is also because, even now, they don’t understand the business and the way to go about it.on They only copy what PVR is doing. They haven’t had any good names on their team. Most marketing heads are sacked there for some reason or another. Show: Look at their signature movie before the beginning of each show, and you will know the difference between what PVR is and what a copy of PVR can be. Live the movie. Hahaha…damn!

cash-richInox belongs to a cash-rich company, and that’s how they are still surviving and increasing the number of screens.

PVR is and will always be the best cinema exhibition chain in the country.

Which is better, PVR or big cinemas?

I have been to both of those cinemas in Hyderabad a number of times. From 2008 to 2012, BIG Cinemas has been my favorite. The picture and sound quality were terrific back then at BIG Cinemas. In fact, they had the best seating (they still do) for a theater in the entire city. But in the last four years, the maintenance has deteriorated. The sound is now loud but not sharp. The picture is dull and faded. The screen is poorly maintained. BIG Cinemas has two outlets in the city. Technically, it’s just one because the other one is in a resort on the outskirts.

One experience: I went to BIG Cinemas after two years to watch Neerja. The picture is too dull. When I asked the duty manager there, he informed me that they usually play 3D films on that particular screen. So, they changed the standard screen to a silver screen. But they are still looking for a good projector that suits the screen. So when they “find” the right projector, he says that the picture quality will return to excellent. Who replaces a screen without the proper projector? I wonder!! Not even single screens do it. It’s a shame that they are a pan-India multiplex.

On the other hand, PVR Cinemas has been constantly improving the technology in their cinemas. There was only one PVR a few years ago in the city. They upgraded the sound to Dolby 7.1 a long while ago. It was a disaster in the beginning because the output was terrible. To explain it in simple words, suppose you have a desktop with 2.1 speakers attached. Now, try playing a film file that has 5.1 encodings. It’s the same. However, they fixed it within a few weeks. Now, the sound and projection are excellent there. PVR opened its second outlet at Forum Hyderabad. The technology there is the best in the city. The picture is crystal clear, and the sound is uber-sharp.

PVR acquired Cinemax, and now there are a total of four PVR outlets in the city.

On the luxury front, PVR is always the winner in our country. But, as they say, good things don’t come cheap. PVR is very pricey with the food and beverages on offer. On the other hand, food at BIG Cinemas is affordable for most. [In Hyderabad, the ticket price is determined by the government, which is 150 for Normal Seats and 250 for Recliners on all days for all shows.]

Do PVR cinemas in Bangalore show English subtitles for Tamil and Telugu movies?

YES!!! That would be extremely helpful.

One, it would enable even those who do not understand these languages very well to watch these movies.

Second, this in itself facilitates the learning of these languages. Watching movies in a language one does not understand, but with subtitles, helps one pick a lot of words in the correct context (the scenes in the movie).

This can gradually reduce the ignorance and animosity that is increasing between predominantly Hindi-speaking people and those who primarily speak Dravidian languages.

Which is better, PVR or big cinemas?

The PVR Superplex in Dwarka has become a new sensation for the residents of the city. PVR Superplex has 12 screens and an estimated capacity of 1850 seats.

The largest is PVR’s most significant property in the NCR region and is a must-visit. The screen count remains second to the Logix Theater in Noida.

The 12-screen property is an innovation. The property spreads across an area of 70,000 sq. ft.

The promoters have spent a whopping Rs. 70 crore on the property. The superplex includes:

  • One IMAX screen.
  • One 4D screen.
  • Two premium LUXE auditoriums.
  • One auditorium is dedicated to children.

In an interview with the press, the CEO of PVR Cinemas, Mr. Gautam Dutta, said that “Dwarka houses one of Asia’s largest townships and boasts of several double-income couples. Therefore, the investment made sense.

They had to travel to West Delhi or Gurgaon to watch movies. To combat the threat from over-the-top video streaming platforms, Dutta said the exhibition chain had evolved to meet new challenges. It is well-equipped to face them.

“It would be ignorant to say there is no threat from streaming platforms. These platforms have created a high ground for how cinemas have to evolve.”.

Therefore, we have gone from just providing a space to screen movies to a broader entertainment sphere that includes food, beverage, and overall design,” CEO Dutta said.

With this opening, PVR Cinemas stands at a count of 62 screens in 16 properties in New Delhi and 244 screens across 56 properties in northern India.

Therefore, it is highly gratifying to introduce another advanced and luxurious cinema concept for our patrons in Delhi. Out-of-home entertainment has been an essential part of the Indian entertainment industry. Hence, it is our responsibility to continue to offer enhanced experiences to our customers.”

Which is better, PVR or INOX?

If you are planning to invest for a long time, then I believe PVR is a better stock because it has a more substantial presence in the market than INOX.

Since the lockdown has been extended, there is a question of whether it is a good time to invest in PVR stock or not. So for that, PVR should be accumulated at a price of nearly $750. Then it might be a reasonable price to have, but above that price, it will be a bit expensive. 875, the current price of PVR is 875, and I believe it will again come in the range of 720–780 sometime, which could be a good time to accumulate the stock.

How is PVR compared to other cinemas in India?

They employ the same visual and sonic technologies for cinema projection, so there shouldn’t be any difference. Back in the days of film projection, there was a difference between film gauges—35mm and 70mm. Contrast: these projection systems each had a distinct look in terms of color, contrast, and grain structure, among others. Except for IMAX, every movie projection in India looks the same. 99.99% of movies in India are shot digitally, and all of them have the same look. The variety is gone with the advent of digital.

Motor neurons control muscle activity like:

Is IMAX better than PVR?

IMAX and PVR cinemas serve different purposes in the context of movie-watching experiences. PVR Cinemas, on the other hand, is a chain of multiplex cinemas that offers a range of movie-watching experiences, including standard screens, luxury seating options, and diverse film selections.

Whether IMAX is “better” than PVR depends on individual preferences and the specific aspects of the movie-watching experience that are important to you. Here are some factors to consider:

  1. Screen Size and Format: IMAX theaters are known for their large screens and specialized projection formats, providing an immersive experience. If you appreciate a larger-than-life cinematic presentation, IMAX might be preferable for certain blockbuster movies.

Ultimately, both IMAX and PVR Cinemas have their merits, and the “better” option depends on your preferences for screen size, movie selection, comfort, and budget. Some viewers may prefer the grandeur of IMAX for certain blockbuster releases, while others may find the variety and convenience of PVR Cinemas more appealing for a broader range of movie choices.
