Is Grenlander Tyre a good brand? I don’t have much to spend 2024.

Greenlander Tyre is a budget tire brand that is manufactured and sold primarily in China and other Asian countries. While the brand may offer affordable tire options, the quality and performance of its tires may be lower than those of more established, premium tire brands.

The quality and performance of tires can have a significant impact on safety and driving experience, so it’s generally recommended to invest in high-quality tires from reputable brands if possible. Premium tire brands typically offer better handling, traction, and durability, which can result in improved safety and performance on the road.

That being said, if you are on a tight budget and cannot afford premium tire brands, Greenlander Tyres may provide a suitable option for your needs. It’s important to research and compare different tire brands and models to find the best option for your budget and driving needs.

When shopping for tires, it’s also important to consider factors such as the climate and driving conditions in your area, as well as the type of vehicle you have, in order to find the right tire for your specific needs. Additionally, be sure to check reviews and ratings from other customers to get a sense of the quality and reliability of the tires you are considering.

Is Grenlander a good tire brand? I only have a little to spend.

Raul,

As I mentioned just minutes ago, Grenlander tires are very mediocre.

Where are you? Depending on where on the planet you are, I suggest other tire brands which are still affordable.

Grenlander tires. What is your experience with Grenlander tires? Is it worth the money paid?

I have no experience with this brand…however, the name would suggest a Chinese brand…I have used some of the China tires and without a doubt they will hold air…but don’t do very well in the wear department …they are cheaper ..but no bargain….on the other end…don’t waste your money on Michelin tires as they have eliminated the chemicals to resist dry rot in the sidewalls due to the ultraviolet rays…..if you can wear them out in two or three yrs no worries..if not you can almost see them rot…so I used to be a big fan…no longer as I consider them way overpriced and not a good investment…try the Korean brands ..KUMO …HANKOOK…are really good value and last very well

Which car tire brand is the best?

Let me share my experience from India. I only have experience with a few of what you mentioned. But I can share what I know about.

Michelin is better if you drive on good roads.

However, let me give you my experience review of most of the tire brands available in India.

I have ridden on Michelin, Bridgestone, Yokohama, Apollo, JK, and MRF

Compared to JK and MRF, I will prefer Amazer 4G life tires

Reason: I am a rash driver, and I never felt out of confidence in 185/70/14 4G life. The story was different with Amazer 3G 165/80/14 tires. But 3G tires are not sold in the market now, so let’s forget them.

If you need more budget for Michelin or Yoko, Amazer 4G Life is an awesome choice.

It offers you 70% of the comfort of Michelin and is 10 times more durable than Michelin.

Is Grenlander Tyre a good brand? I don’t have much to spend 2024.

I got many punctures on my Michelin, a few on Yoko, but zero on 4G life

Whenever I have to go out of the city (slightly off-road), I prefer my car with 4G life

4G life is like fit it and forget it tires. 100% durable and trustworthy. It’s 1000 times cheaper than Michelins.

If you buy Michelin, you will have to take care of them and choose roads carefully.

But if you have 4G life.. enter any terrain and go to the jungle even. You will come out without punctures.

Don’t worry about ride and handling; it’s the best Indian brand. It offers you 70% of everything offered by premium brands.

But if you drive on good roads, prefer Michelin.

If you want the premiums of Michelin and the reliability of Amazer 4G, buy Yokohama Earth 1

If Yoko is not available, buy Bridgestone 290

Hope I was able to help.

Which car tire brand is the best?

A lot of tire brands exist and offer a huge variety of tires. There is a variety of black rubbers in the market; like for SUVs, there are 4×4 tires with more grip power and better rolling resistance. For cars, there is a line of passenger tires. The difference lies in the weather conditions. There is a different rubber for summers, another one for winters, and a powerful rubber for the rains to avoid slips.

Considering the performance and tire technology, Goodyear is a winner here! It is a name associated with good and quality tires. The brand has a huge variety of performance, passenger, and 4×4 tires to serve the desired needs of different automobiles.

Goodyear is a brand even involved in racing tires and high-performance cars, the luxury ones such as BMW, Porche, and others.

Even sedans and small cars have a reasonable tire range, but there is no compromise on the quality!

They even work on tire care and maintenance, and what they suggest is extremely useful! So relax and have a loyal brand to serve you well.

Questions like these are exceedingly frustrating.

This leaves it open to a lot of variables: car, style of driving, and climate.

For instance, the $800 Eagle tires put on a Rolls Royce EWB are very different than the Michelin Sport Cup 2s put on Corvette Z06s are very different than the Pirelli Trofeo Rs on a McLaren P1 than the Hankooks on an Infiniti G35…

You get my point. There is no “best” tire brand, but one brand that does exceedingly well with the range of tires they have is Continental.

That doesn’t mean going out and buying Conto EcoContacts for your Nissan Juke. It just means that Continental has a tire for every situation, and they are exceedingly good.

Which car tire brand is the best?

Originally Answered: Which car tire brand is the best?

in my country, Pakistan, we have all the best car tire brands available, so it becomes difficult for a novice like me to decide

You’re not alone; it’s frustrating for most consumers when faced with so many choices.

However, within a certain budget, it’s probably safe to say that tires will be similar enough from any of the known brands that any differences will be more academic than a real difference in quality, so once you narrow down your choices according to price, then I’d try going online to read reviews to help you with a decision.

Just stay away from the really cheap discount stuff where they do cut corners on quality.

Is Grenlander a good tire brand?

Hey Raul,

Grenlander brand tires should only be considered if they are on an extreme budget. They are of entry-level quality, nothing special. In fact, many within the tire industry consider them Chinese POS!

You can do much better with the same money.

Does it matter what brand of tires you put on your car?

Not so much the brand; you can still buy expensive tires with a familiar brand name and still come up “tire poor.”

Case in point: Continental tires. This is a picture of a Continental tire on my Mercedes-Benz with 19,000 miles on it.

The tire is a run flat and not a cheap one. The replacement tire goes for $290.00. Yes, that’s almost $300.00 for ONE. Oh yes, the $290 is just for the tire. Add on another $20 to $30 for mount and balance.

While it handles well with my model car, I’m not a huge fan of Continental quality. Replaced 3 Continentals on my previous Benz due to sidewall bubbles. Every single day in Service, we have customers coming in for service issues with their Continentals.

Does it matter what brand of tires you put on your car?

It sure does, Jessica.

However, all tire manufacturers offer dozens of tire models that vary in quality and performance type, so when tire shopping, it is wise to look not only at the brand but also at the model itself.

Even with that said, there are several very good tire brands. Michelin, Continental, Pirelli, and Continental offer the best quality tires across their product line. However, several budget brands still offer very good quality models.

If you need to keep costs down but still want a quality tire (which you should), consider brands such as Cooper, General, Goodrich, Hankook, Kumho, and Yokohama.

Are name-brand tires worth the extra cost compared to cheap, no-name tires?

Short answer: Yes, they are. Even within good brands, higher-end models do grip the road better. The amount of technology that goes into tire manufacturing is amazing. Had a chance to tour a Goodyear facility and see how they make tires. Summer, wet, and winter tires are all different as well, and not by a small margin. I went from basic Falken tires to Goodyear F1, and the grip difference, especially in the wet, was incredible. Stopping power and overall longevity are increased. The grip lasts almost to the very end of the tread. They are currently running Nokians for winter, and their grip in snow, ice, and cold weather is greater than the Goodyear F1. But the Goodyears are loads better in the dry and wet.

Good brands can also last longer and save fuel. More is needed to justify the price difference, but they are generally more reliable and have a better grip all around. Hence, the safety factor is something that can’t be quantified. It’s either important to you or not.

Are name-brand tires worth the extra cost compared to cheap, no-name tires?

Take a normal family car that weighs, on average, around 4000 pounds (please note that I use the term “average” very loosely here since a little hatchback can weigh as little as 2500 pounds, while a Ford F250 can weigh upward of 6000 pounds. For my demonstration, we’ll stick to 4,000 pounds). Now, this 4000 lbs car is connected to the road through its 4 tires, and it is literally the only contact you have with the road and, by extension, the only thing that prevents you from losing control over the car. The grip those 4 contact patches (roughly the size of your hand) provide your car is the thing that keeps you alive. The ABS brakes, stability control, all-wheel drive, traction control, and all the other magic that helps you control the car better do not function if those 4 hand-size patches dont do their job. Can you imagine the engineering that went into designing those tires that allow it to keep your 4000 lbs car on the road? At the same time, you drive through highway bends at high speed, brake from 60mph to zero when some other jerk suddenly cuts in front of you, accelerate to make the light before it turns red, and then still do a 90-degree turn at said light without sliding into the curb. All because 4 hand-size patches keep you in contact with Mother Earth through rain and snow and oil spills on the road… for many years and many miles without any maintenance except the occasional pressure check at the fuel stations. So ask yourself, wouldn’t you want those 4 hand-size patches to be the best hand-size patches that your pocket can afford?

Are name-brand tires worth the extra cost compared to cheap, no-name tires?

There is no single part that you can bolt onto your car that will make a more immediate difference in the way it handles, accelerates, or brakes.

A good tire can make a night and day difference, and as another user pointed out, that 4–6 inches of tire that touches the road is what allows your car to accelerate, brake quickly, steer quickly when someone cuts you off, and handle weather and any other slipperiness in the road.

Had a turbo Eclipse (fwd version) that had some continental tires on them, and despite still having good tread life, they flat-out sucked. I got some Toyo Proxi 4s, and WOW, what a difference; it was like I was driving a different car.

Now, with that said (as with pretty much any other product), you can’t look at just the brand, but you have to look at the tire itself. The Bridgestone tires that came stock on my Genesis Coupe were horrible, literally the worst-rated summer tire on tirerack.com. The Bridgestone Pole Positions I have now (on my second set of them, actually) are highly rated and MASSIVELY better. A case in point is that every brand has a dud now and then, and you have to look at the tire, not just the brand.

Falkins fall into their category; the same tire performs well on one car and terrible on another. Look up any Falkin review, and it is going to be half 5s and half 1s; either they are exceptional (and exceptional value), or they are lousy. Thus, I would only buy them if I was able to return them (and then buy more expensive tires).

Which brand of tires should you stay away from? Which brand of tires lasts the longest?

There are many good tires in the marketplace, but Michelin, in most cases, still builds the best tires. They last longer and ride smoother than most products, and while they cost more initially, the cost per mile used is the lowest in the industry. Continental and Bridgestone are close behind Michelin in product development. I can’t think of any tire that you should stay away from. Even many of the private brands offer good mileage and performance and cost quite a bit less. Become familiar with the warranties and see what Consumer Reports has to say about the tire you are looking for. They are a very reputable source for tire grading.

Which brand of tires should you stay away from? Which brand of tires lasts the longest?

A lot of tire manufacturers claim their tires last the longest. Pirelli make one called Four Seasons Plus that they claim gives very high mileage, but that is just one tire. Most new tires start life with 8mm tread; there are exceptions; some start with less, especially budget tires. Michelin normally starts with 9mm, and many authorities say that Michelin tires last the longest. Some budget tires do not give good road-holding, and some are considered downright dangerous. In broad terms, you get what you pay for, and if a tire is much cheaper than others of the same size, it could be one to stay away from. Do your research; there are tire review sites on the internet, and in the UK, Auto Express does annual tests using a variety of factors to rank tires and tire manufacturers. There are very likely similar annual ranking tests in other countries. Go on the internet and do searches, and you will almost certainly get a lot of information about various makes, including ones to stay away from.

Why do low-profile tires cost so much? Which brand do you recommend?

A major factor is limited demand. Lower demand creates shorter runs. Shorter runs create more change over time cost per tire.

Lower demand creates higher inventory carrying costs. As the finished product sits on the shelf, there is rent to pay for the capital tied up in that inventory.

If you have read any of my tire questions answered, I have a prejudice to Pirelli’s.

Why do low-profile tires cost so much? Which brand do you recommend?

Low-profile tires have usually been found on high-performance, more expensive cars. Due to less demand for these tires and different production requirements, they have always been more expensive. (supply and demand, and cost of production). Who has the best tire? You need to do some research on customer ratings of the different brands and pay particular attention to the performance ratings. If all you are looking for is road handling, almost any brand will do, so be specific when searching regarding what type of performance you are looking for. Talk to the dealer who sells you the tires and make certain that if the replacement tires do not meet your satisfaction, you can have them dismounted and try another brand. Many years ago, I had a 1959 Austen Healey Sprite that was running on Dunlops. I had to replace the tires, and I bought Pirelli tires, which were far inferior to the old Dunlops. I competed in gymkhanas and road races, and I wanted tires that would keep my car on the road through turns. I wound up with Kumhos (much to my surprise), a brand I had never heard of, and I was completely satisfied with them. Search for reviews, don’t settle for inferior performance, and do price comparisons. I have no idea what brand of tire will meet your needs.

Why do low-profile tires cost so much? Which brand do you recommend?

Most likely, it is two things. One has to do with the construction of the sidewall (of which there is much, much less than the typical tire, obviously). But the other has to do with the type of tire that falls under the lower profile category. Most of those are called “UHP’s” – ultra-high performance tires. They are meant to maximize traction, steering control, braking distances, and the ability to get through wet conditions, as well as any tire. Those are really expensive.

When I bought my wife’s most recent car, and it had lower profile tires, I knew that when it came time to put on a new set, it would not be cheap. I was not disappointed.

As for which tire, check sources that test the tires, like Tire Rack, Consumer Reports, and others; in fact, if you can wait a few months (~8), Consumer Reports will be updating their testing on UHP’s (Tire Rack is constantly testing). What one person wants or likes is different from others. I chose a set of Bridgestones that had JUST been updated and have not been disappointed.

Is Ceat Milaze a good tire brand?

Had a life-threatening experience…

I have always been a fan of Michelin tires, but after hearing that Ceat is providing a 100k Miles warranty, I thought to give it a try.

But what a disappointment

Only after running it for 24k km did the tire get cut on its edges, so I went to the dealer to replace it. Still, initially, he refused to accept it as he was saying he didn’t sell it to me. After producing the bill, he agreed and sent the tire for replacement, but as expected, they said the tires got rejected for some blah blah reasons…

Let me tell you the funny side: they never called me back saying the tire had arrived, and only when I called them they said it had already come back rejected…

The owner stops answering the phones once he has your number, so I have to call him with different numbers to reach him…

I bought the tire in 2018, and the dealer gave me the tire, which was manufactured in 2017…

Which means it was already a year old.

They said it’s just a minor scratch, and you can drive with it,

So you tell me, if you’re driving a car with your family on a highway, can you really feel safe with such tire condition… Who will be responsible if any major accidents happen…

And it’s different from my car, which was driven on mountains or always standing in sunlight. I have covered parking, so there is no issue with it,

I’m really disappointed with Ceat as it claims a 100k km warranty, but the tires get ridden by driving only 24k km; the customer service could have been more professional…

Is Ceat Milaze a good tire brand?

I am curious if the question is related to Motorcycle tires or Car Tires; I am talking about motorcycle tires & leave the car experts to speak about the CEAT MILAZE car tires. If you are looking for a tire with a good grip without compromising on the tire life, I cannot suggest anything better than CEAT Milaze. As per my trusted mechanic, the CEAT Milaze has the highest tread depth, which will give the best tire life. Aesthetically, the design is interesting & gave me the confidence to push my Passion for varied road conditions.

Is Ceat Milaze a good tire brand?

I have been using Ceat Milaze in my Honda City for over a year now.

Some of the pros if the tires are

  1. These are hard tires and will last very long, close to a hundred thousand kilometers, as claimed by Ceat. So far, I have done close to 20,000 km, and the tires look good.
  2. Resistant to punctures. Being hard tires resistant to punctures is far superior to ordinary tires.
  3. Good warranty with a cash refund guarantee on a fair usage policy.

One of the disadvantages of having a hard tire is loss of grip. Wheelspin from stand start happens more frequently. Suspension is affected as more shocks pass to them.

Are name-brand winter tires worth the money?

In tests, they do a little better. But it’s pretty much better to justify the price difference. Can’t mention brands, not to get in trouble. And remember. ALL tires “die” (dry rott) without use regardless of the brand. A better investment would be a second set of rims. It saves money in a very short time. And you can time it better when to switch between summer and winter tires. It’s not good for tires to be taken off and put back on. Sometimes, they get damaged in the process and can’t be used again. Yes, rims cost money. But you save the extra on/off and cost for balancing every time. And tires need the same space to store with rims. Mounted tires need less care to store. You won’t wear the profile down in 4 to 5 years. Tires also lose their performance over time. Do research on the internet. Look at the reviews other customers send back from lower-priced tires compared to expensive ones.

When Hancock came out with tires about 20 years ago, I took chances. These tires are still on a parked car now. It has not popped yet and is still holding air. Now, they are not cheap tires anymore. Some researchers grade them on #3 now. Most listings say Michelin is # 1. But also most expansive. But the good in recycling old tires. Suppose it’s a concern of yours. All tires have to fulfill the same tests and are manufactured to a minimum government standard. After the Firestone disaster, the government is watching it better now. All tires must have a minimum of information permanently on the sidewall.

There you can see all the info you need. Not just Size, weight rating, speed rating, the most important production date. The production date is behind the DOT in 4 numbers. Suppose there are letters after DOT. Just skip it. The 4 numbers are next to each other and usually “deeper” than all other markings to prevent manipulation. The first 2 digits are the week. 3 and 4 the year. Even which country manufactured and which plant, temperature rating, and how they compare to the government-set standard in wear are on the tires too. My go-to store now is Walmart. After hours of research, I always win if I’m comparing all costs. But you have to order over the internet there and have it shipped to the store near you to get it mounted. The good deals are not available in store. Walmart can’t screw up with tires. They have assets and can get sued. If you have a problem, you can go there. Some unknown internet companies ??? But this is just my logical explanation. Be safe in the snow.

Are name-brand winter tires worth the money?

If you are planning on keeping your vehicle for a number of years, are you one who buys an extra set of wheels to mount them on and swaps the tires out before the snow comes and takes them off in the spring? Probably so. Otherwise, a mid-range quality is your best bet since you won’t be keeping the vehicle for a long time.

Keep in mind the top-of-the-line tires/tread patterns/technology are often only around for a few years or so and are then replaced with newer/better/etc. They keep the same tire and, move it down a tier in price and keep making and selling them. So what was their “Platinum line” tire became the “Gold Line” and so on. While the newer/better/etc. Featured ones are now their top-of-the-line “Platinum.” Goodyear and others have been doing this for many years. They have lots of money invested in a line of tires, and this is an easy way to continue to recover those capital costs while peddling their latest technology. Most Goodyear dealers will be happy to explain this when making a purchase.

What’s the most durable tire brand?

I recently crossed a deadline to change my car tires, and I was quite unhappy with how long the previous one lasted. Now, with my current financial status, I was looking for a brand that would fit my pockets yet commit to a decent amount of time. I got recommended several brands, and with all the pros and cons, I can list Bridgestone as the perfect buy. It has an overall high rating for durability and, of course, other features too.

What is the best low-profile tire brand?

There are dozens, depending on the year, make, and model of the automobile, which you wish to have mounted.

Remember, all tire manufacturers make dozens of tire sizes within different performance categories. All of the models offered by a given tire manufacturer are also in quality.

So, there is no one “brand” of tire that makes the best. There are top quality low profile tires offered by many tire manufacturers such as Michelin, Bridgestone, Continental, Pirelli, and Yokohama.

What is a good brand of car tires? Besides Firestone? Is Vercelli good? I have a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander.

Hello again, Joyce.

Still tire shopping, ay? There are dozens of good quality tires available in your needed tire size of 225/55R18 whether you buy them at Walmart or elsewhere.

Vercelli could be a better overall tire brand. In fact, they are of very poor quality. Don’t waste your cash. Firestone offers mid-level quality tire models across their product line.

If you need to keep costs down, other brands such as Cooper, General, Goodrich, Hankook, and Yokohama should be considered.

Your best bang for the buck choice, which Walmart offers, is the General Altimax RT43.

You should find the tire size for your vehicle and have a look at some of the tire review sites. Some of the bigger car magazines do something similar. Also, consider what you want to use the car for. Will you ever go off-road or mainly just on the road? Also, if you trust your local garage/tire shop, ask for advice.

I might be thinking about going with Bridgestone/Firestone tires based on their questionable quality. I am aware of these 3 major recalls, but there are likely more if I did a little digging.

I wanted to bring this to your attention. I go with either Michelin or Goodyear. Another good brand that was bought by Goodyear a couple of years ago is Cooper, as well.
